Why not Gautham?

Gautam Menon, one of the rising star - directors in the tamil film industry according to journalist's rating. For me, he is one of the most stylish film makers.I have a small doubt if Gautham is really giving his best, he can actually but he is just trying to make a mark in the Kollywood.

When I was a school student, I watched the movie 'Minnale', awesome love story explained with the college masala. The way he portrayed love was awesome. During the time of Minnale i was a sincere school student but I knew something about love thats it. I think I was in higher secondary grade and dreaming about my future college days after watching Minnale. I dreamt in my own way about my college life.

My expectations for Gautham's next venture rised to its peak. His next venture was Kaakha Kaakha, Surya and Jyothika combination's best ever hit. " An episode in policeman life" was the tagline of the movie, a racy action movie Surya playing the cop role. But even in that action movie gautham portrayed the love between Maya(Jyothika), a school teacher and Anbuselvam (Surya) ,policeman in a superb manner. It had really powerful dialogues for love, Believe me!.

Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, his 3rd venture with the tagline " An another episode in policeman's life" , its again a racy action thriller with Kamal playing the cop, Jyothika and Kamalini Mukherjee playing the female leads. Even in that thriller movie he showcased the love between Kamal and Kamalini, Kamal and Jyothikha as a poem. The dialogue when Kamal expresses his love to Kamilini and to Jyothika after Kamilini's death were splendid and wonderfully delivered.

His next venture Pachaikili Muthu Charam had Sarath kumar playing protagonist. Its a different kind of thriller movie. In this movie he tells about the love and affection showed by a wife even after her husband betrayed.

In all his 4 ventures he explained the love between protagonist and his female lead as a wonderful poem. He never failed in expressing love on the screen. But in all in his ventures expect Minnale, love was overshadowed by action.

In his latest venture Vaaranam Aayeram, he was saying that he expressed the father-son relationship in great manner. Its a splendid performance from Surya, no one will have second thought on it. I watched the movie twice in a span of one week in theatre. Rather than expressing the Dad- Son relationship, once again he gave his mark in expressing love between Surya and other female leads ( Simran. Sameera and Divya). Simran is female lead to father Surya and other 2 were love girls to son Surya. The story revolves around the son. But the way Gautham handled love in that movie was splendid.

When Surya expresses his love to Simran in auditorium , expressing his love to sameera in train, and to divya in military academy.... We have no words to explain. Its all the performance from surya but its Gautham who brought it from him. Actually the movie have mixed reviews from all section of people but everyone is praising the movie for those romantic scenes.

All my readers may be wondering why i explained the gautham's filmography simply. Ya you are right, nothing big, I just discussed about his filmography to one of my friend sometimes back. At that time, I thought of posting a blog, why not Gautham Menon go for directing few romantic movies since he portrays love in excellent manner. Why he is not giving his best which comes naturally from him? this kind of question arised in my mind. Just thought of sharing with you. Please give your comments on this. Why not gautham go for romantic movies?

Because recently gautham commented few Stars' movies and Star directors' products. Before commenting others and thier products he should be clear in his point. Its jus my opinion. No offense post you review on the theme.

10.30 AM

Hi friends, After reading out the title you might expect some thriller or comedy story from my end. So far i was posting my stories in this blog, but this time i'm not gonna tell any stories. I jus want to share my experience which we njoyed at 10.30 am in our final semester of the college. This time i would like to share it through english, as many of my friends complaint that they cant understand tamil.

So i m gonna share my memories which never go from my mind. This is about one part of my friends gang, others- dont mind- will get u into the blog very soon... Its jus a starting... Idhu chumma trailer thaan....

Our dept (EEE) is kind of the foundation jus a min i'm not getting into technical side. Its located at ground floor of the wonderful EB block in our college. U can refer to the attached pic @ top right. More over i can call that place as "Vedanthaangal". Becoz friends from various dept. and various years will gather there and hav a short chat and long pulling session about each other.

Our final sem is actually meant for doing project. Thats why they didnt put up any subject in the curriculum. Luckily, in my final sem, i got a wonderful gang like my all other gangs. Gang comprises of Sambath, Vijay, Ganesh, Bharath, Ashok, Robo, Matter, Kalai, Sathish, Johnson, Ravi, Nachi, Karthi, Somu, Manesh, Sathyan, Gokul, Sami etc (sorry i miss out some names) and ofcourse me. As per a wonderful saying "Friendship should jus happen" even our friendship happened naturally.

I can even mention our dept entrance as "Heaven". Yup since its a wonderful place. Ya, if you stand at the entrance you can look at al the people roaming in the college. By now you should understand, its such a good place buddies (nalla sight adikalaam). In our final sem we should put our attendance before 9.30 am. obviously we all will rush at 9.30.

As a hostel culture we wont hav anything for breakfast :-). After registering our attendance. Myself and Sambath will check our mails in the dept lab. Then around 10 am, we used to stand at the entrance and will wait for our gang members. Actually we wont wait for our gang. We jus watch out the people by standing there (sight adippom :-)). Myself and sambath had great pulling session while standing out there. Will tell you the experience at the entrance in other post.

We used to njoy the scenenary of the college at that time. Around 10.15 am, other members join our gang's spot (dept entrance). Before narrating the 10.30 am moments its my time to inform you. Out of 10 semesters in my college life, till end of my 9th sem i can count the no. of time i visited our college canteen. I hate canteen for no reason. Rarely i used to visit to have snacks that to after some official meetings.

Now back to the flow, by 10.20 am all our team members will gather at the entrance. Usually bharath, nachi and robo will be the late comer. Bharath and nachi (sincere guys) will be busy in the project work we cant scold them. Around 10.30 am siren for the first break for the people in the college will be heard. Breaks are to cherish i don't know abt the others, for us its true cherishing moment. A larger number of person will gather at the canteen for their snacks.

Some how we used to spent our time and if our clock ticked 10.30 AM we all reached out to the canteen. Our college days are not like corporate days we used to struggle for the money flow. Some how daily we will have money for our snacks. Most of the time, we used to hav TEA and some bhajji. We will get a big table and will get ready for our conference. We start our long never ending pulling session.

Till 10.45am we used to be in canteen. Those 15 minutes we wont think abt anything ( project, classes, seminaar, coding, submission etc etc) Anyways, we never thought about it other times too. Those are minutes of njoyment. We watch out the persons whom we like. I m sure they wont hav any clue abt us. Few might know but its jus a part of njoyment.

Sometimes the ppl whom we are looking for will sit table next to ours. Here comes the beauty. They may be a fav person for a member in our gang. That particular time, he will try to look very different to try impress her, but, what are friends for????! we wont allow him to . By that time, we will start our chatting a bit louder. Those moments are unforgettable throughout the life time.

At that time , only very few member in our gang have gals as their friends and none of us hav any gfs. Our pulling session will be around this. In the canteen, few gals will see their friend(member of our gang) sitting near us will try to speak to him. Till she speaks we will be like dont care. Once she leaves the place, the guy who spoke with the gal will be target. He cant do anything else. I really pity him. But, few of our friends will avoid talking to the gal, who are supposed to be their friends truly, becoz of the pulling session after that chat. Truly speaking we never crossed our limit. Becoz of those sessions neither our friendship got spoiled nor we got hurt. Truly rememberable and funny incidents.

Even in our slam books that we wrote in our final days we never forgot to mention those 10.30 AM moments. Actually this 10.30 am didnt had g8 impact in any our life but its was g8 moments.

சோதனை , வேதனை , சாதனை !!!

சூர்யா!, சாகும் வரை அவன் சுவாசம், நேசம், அனைத்தும் சாதனாவுக்கே ! என்று வாழ்வை நேசித்து கொண்டிருந்தான் . ஆம்!, காதலிக்க நேரிட்ட பல பேர் சொல்லும் அந்த வரியை தான் இவனும் சொல்லிக் கொண்டு அலைகிறான் வேற என்ன "Love at first sight".


அவன் கல்லூரியில் சாதனாவை பார்த்த முதல் நாளே காதல் வயப்பட்டு அவளை நன்கு அறியாமல் அவளிடம் காதலை சொல்லி, அவளை வற்புறுத்தி ஒரு வழியாக சம்மதம் பெற்று விட்டான் . அவளும் சற்று தயக்கதுடனும் பழக ஆரம்பித்தாள் . ஆனால், சாதனா ஒரு "Practical Girl" எளிதில் யாரையும் நம்பும் பெண் அல்ல .


சாதனாவுக்கு தோழிகள் மிகவும் சிலரே இருந்தனர் . அவள் அனைத்தையும் பகிரும் நபர் என்றால் அது அவளது தங்கை ஆராதனா தான் சாதனாவை விட ஒரு வருடம் சிறியவள் . இருவருக்குள் ரகசியம் என்பதே இருக்க முடியாது . சூர்யாவின் பழக்கத்தை பற்றியும் சாதனாவின் எச்சரிக்கை நட்பும் ஆராதனாவுக்கு தெரியும் அவளும் சில சமயம் சாதனாவுக்கு ஆலோசனை வழங்குவாள் .


ஆராதனா, மிகவும் பொறுமைசாலி எதையும் ஆராய்ந்து செய்யும் பழக்கம் கொண்டவள். மற்றவர் மனதிற்கு மரியாதை தருபவள் இதற்கு நேர் எதிர் சாதனா .


சாதனா , ஆராதனாவை பற்றியே வார்த்தைகள் இருக்கே. நம்ம சூர்யா என்ன ஆனார் ? என்பதை பலரும் நினைக்கலாம் .

அவனோ காதல் என்ற நிழல் உலகில் இருப்பதால், அவனை பற்றி அவனுக்கே அக்கறை இல்லை பிறகு நமக்கு எதற்கு ? அப்படியும் விட முடியாது சாதனாவை கண்டது முதல் அவன் கனவுலகில், வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதே அவளுக்கு என்று இருக்கிறான் . இவனுக்கு சாதனா உயிர் என்றால் ஆராதனா மூளை ஆம் நல்ல தோழி.

என்னடா ! சூர்யாவும் ஆராதனாவும் நண்பர்கள் என்று கூறுகிறேன் என்று குழம்ப வேண்டாம் . சாதனா அறிமுகமான அடுத்த நாளே ஆராதனா அறிமுகம் ஆனாள். அன்று முதல் சூர்யாவின் குணம் பிடித்து நெருங்கிய நண்பர்கள் ஆயினர் .

மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக சென்று கொண்டிருந்தது. அப்போது சாதனாவின் தோழியின் காதல் கதையின் சோக முடிவு இவள் காதுக்கு எட்டியது ஆம் அவளது காதலன் வேறொரு பெண்ணை திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டான், சாதனாவுக்கு சந்தேக பேய் தொற்றிக் கொண்டது. சூர்யாவின் காதலை சந்தேகபட அவளுக்கு பல கோணங்கள் சிக்கியது.

காதலை சோதனை செய்ய முடிவு எடுத்தாள். வழக்கம் போல இதனை ஆராதனாவுடன் ஆலோசித்தாள் , இதில் இவளுக்கு உடன் பாடு இல்லை ஏனென்றால் சூர்யாவை நன்கு தெரிந்ததால் இதனை தடுத்தாள். சாதனாவோ " என் வாழ்க்கை அதனால் நான் சோதிக்க வேண்டிய கட்டாயத்தில் இருக்கிறேன்" வற்புறுத்தாதே !, என்று சொல்லி விட்டாள். இறுதியில் இவளும் அதற்கு உடன் பட்டு சாதனாவின் திட்டத்தை கேட்டாள். அதிர்ந்தாள் ஆராதனா , இவள் சூர்யாவை காதலிப்பது போல் நடித்து சோதிக்க வேண்டுமாம் , இது தான் சாதனாவின் திட்டம் . அக்கா என்பதால் வேறு வழி இல்லாமல் தலை அசைத்தாள்.



மயக்கும் மாலை பொழுதில் கடற்கரை ஓரம் சாலையில் அவன் வண்டியில் பயணித்தாள், ஆராதனா .



" சூர்யா கொஞ்சம் Beach ல walk பண்ணலாமா ?" என்று தயக்கத்துடன் கேட்டாள். சற்றும் தயக்கம் இல்லாமல் சரி என்றான் சூர்யா . ஆராதனா சற்று மௌனமாக நேரம் கடத்தினாள்.



" என்ன ஆராதனா இப்படி அமைதியா இருந்தா என்ன அர்த்தம் என்ன ஆச்சு , any problem? " என்று மௌனம் கலைத்தான் .



" எப்படி சொல்றது என்று எனக்கு தெரியல " என்று இழுத்தாள்.



" நமக்குள் என்ன ரகசியம் தயங்காம சொல்லு " என்று தைரியம் ஊட்டினான்.



தயக்கத்துடன் ," நான் காதலிக்கிறேன் " என்றாள்.



"சபாஷ் ! யார் அந்த அதிர்ஷ்டசாலி சொல்லு சொல்லு ..அவன் ரொம்ப கொடுத்து வெச்சவன் சொல்லு யாரு அது ?" என்று பரபரப்பானான்.



"வேறு யாரும் இல்லை அது நீ தான் சூர்யா உன்னை தான் நான் காதலிக்கிறேன் " என்றாள் ஆராதனா . என்ன சொல்வது என்று புரியாமல் விழித்தான் சூர்யா.



"என்ன ஆச்சு ஆராதனா? நீ ! எப்படி என் மேல, நான் உன்னோட அக்காவை காதலிக்கிறேன், இதை தெரிஞ்சும் என்ன ஆச்சு டா உனக்கு ?" .



காதல் யாருக்கும் வரலாம் தவறு இல்லை , ஆனால் எப்போது யார் மீது வருது அது தான் முக்கியம். நீ என் தோழி, நீ தான் எனக்கு முக்கியம், ஆனால்! ஏற்கனவே காதலால் மிதந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறேன் . நான் எப்படி உன்னை , என்னையும் அறியாமல் உன் மனதில் இப்படி ஒரு எண்ணம் வர நான் காரணம் என்றால் மன்னித்து விடு என்று சொல்லி ஆராதனாவை வண்டியில் ஏற்றி வீட்டில் விட்டு விட்டான் .



மறுநாள் முதல் எப்பவும் போல பழகி வந்தான். ஆராதனா கிடைக்கும் சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் அவள் காதலை சொல்லி கொண்டிருந்தால். இவனும் நண்பனாக புரியவைத்தான் .



அவன் சாதனாவின் மேல் உள்ள காதலை ஆராதனாவிடம் புரியவைத்தான் . அவளை ஒரு மஹாராணியாக வைத்துள்ளான். அதுவரை நாடகமாக சூர்யாவின் மேல் இருந்த ஆராதனாவின் காதல் உண்மையாக மலர்ந்து விட்டது. காதலி மேல் இப்படியும் உயிராக இருக்க முடியுமா என்று வியந்து அந்த நொடி முதல் உண்மையாக காதலிக்க தொடங்கிவிட்டாள்.



அன்று சாதனாவின் பிறந்த நாள் சூர்யா மீது ஆராதனா கொடுத்த நல்ல சான்றிதழால் அவனை நம்பினாள். வாழ்த்து சொல்ல வந்து இருந்தான் சூர்யா. சாதனாவுக்கு அதிர்ச்சி தர மறைந்து இருந்தான் . அதனை அறியாத இருவரும் சில தினமாக நடந்ததை விவாதித்தனர் . அதனை முழுவதும் கேட்டு நொந்து விட்டான் சூர்யா .



ஆனால் இறுதியில் அவன் காதில் விழுந்த வார்த்தைகள் அவனை குழப்பியது. "அக்கா ! நான் சூர்யாவை காதலிப்பது போல் நடிக்கவில்லை, நானும் அவரை காதலிக்க தொடங்கிவிட்டேன் ". ஆம் அவரை போல் வேறொருவரை பார்த்தது இல்லை என்று உருகினாள், ஆராதனா . இதனை சற்றும் மதிக்காமல் சாதனா மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் தங்கைக்கு நன்றி தெரிவித்தாள் . ஆம் அவளுக்கு உண்மையானவன் கிடைத்ததை சோதிக்க உதவியதற்கு.



சற்றும் சிந்தனையுடனே வீட்டிற்கு வந்தான் சூர்யா. சாதனா அவன் காதல் சோதித்தது அவனுக்கு சற்றும் பிடிக்கவில்லை . மிகவும் நொந்து என்ன செய்வது என்று அறியாமல் குழம்பினான் . அப்பொழுது ஆராதனா அவன் வாழ்வில் இருந்த நிமிடங்கள் அவன் மனதில் ஓட துவங்கின.



பல நேர சிந்தனைக்கு பின் உணர்ந்தான் , ஆராதனாவின் மேல் அவனுக்கு இப்போ ஏற்பட்டு இருப்பது தான் காதல் , சாதனாவின் மேல் இருந்தது இயற்பு தான் என்பதை உணரத்தான் . அவன் தாய் , தந்தையிடம் காதலை சொல்லி பெண் பார்க்க வருவதாக சாதனாவின் வீட்டில் அறிவித்தான் .



சூர்யாவின் பெற்றோர்கள் ஆராதனாவை பெண் தருமாறு கேட்டவுடன் சாதனா அதிர்ந்தாள் . ஆராதனா செய்வது அறியாது திகைத்தாள். மௌனமே அவள் பதில் , தனது சோதனையே வேதனையை சேர்த்து விட்டதே என்று புலம்பி அவளது தவறை உணர்ந்து பிறரை மதிக்க கற்றுக்கொண்டாள்.



ஆராதனாவின் உண்மை காதலும் , அவள் மற்றவர் மேல் கொண்ட மதிப்பும் அவள் காதலை சாதிக்க செய்தது.



சூர்யாவும் , ஆராதனாவும் சுகமான இல்லறம் ஆரம்பித்தனர் .....

" நாம் மற்றவர்களை நம்புவது கடினம் ....

நாம் மற்றவர் நம்பும் படி நடப்பது மிகவும் கடினம் ........"
